RVA Day celebrated in the Banmaw Diocese
Homily: Preaching the Truth from the Housetops
In his homily, Bishop Raymond emphasized the core mission of Radio Veritas Asia. “There are many RVA programs, but the number one is to preach the word of the Lord and preach the gospel,” he said. “The gospel of the Lord is the freedom and salvation of a human being.”
Quoting Matthew 10:27—”What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops”—the bishop explained that this is precisely the work RVA is doing. He called on the faithful to be proud of this mission and to participate.
“How shall they hear without a preacher?” he asked. “No one knows the Lord Jesus without preaching about Him. Let us participate in RVA’s work to increase the number of believers and good people who live by the word of the Lord.”
The bishop said, “RVA is a media that broadcasts the truth. It takes time to become true news, and the staff are working hard. Therefore, let us encourage RVA, participate, donate, and pray for them.”
He also noted the importance of holistic well-being—body, soul, and mind—and mentioned RVA’s agriculture program as a gift from God.
